The Bicycle Thief

The Life and times of a Killer cook

Author: iamrorykelly

I like to describe myself as a pop-up chef - I'm not a planner - I stick my head in the fridge and see what I can do with whats staring back at me! Now this leads to disasters...which you will never hear about and spectacular miracles which you will. I'm not 'passionate' about cooking..that's the biggest cliche in the business. I am passionate about live and food is just one small part of it.

The Deep Dish Frittata

Frittata

The omelette is French. The  Frittata is Italian….. ……..that should tell you everything you need to know. This bad boy will be just at home on your plate as he would be on the back of your Lambretta..ie eat this hot at you table or have it cold in a picnic down the beach.

Spiced Cod with Fragrant rice

How to cook breakfast like a boss! The greatest breakfast I have ever had (or I am ever likely to have) was in the Observatory Hotel in Sydney with Clare, an absolute cracker of a place not a kick-in-the-arse away from the Bridge. I’ve alway been of the opinion that breakfast has to be a… Read More Spiced Cod with Fragrant rice

The greatest cook book by the greatest chef?

Anthony Bourdain : Les Halles Cook Book This is my favourite cook book, simply because Anthony Bourdain is my favourite chef. Now – here’s the thing, I don’t really follow recipes, my approach to cooking is more ‘feel’ than focus…but that’s just me, I don’t have the attention span to follow recipes to the letter…..and… Read More The greatest cook book by the greatest chef?
